Drawing ImageNet

My artwork “Drawing ImageNet” has been accepted into the CVPR 2026 Art Program. The project involves slowly and manually drawing 100 randomly selected classes from ImageNet, a foundational computer vision dataset. Through this analog, labor-intensive process, the work explores how ImageNet — assembled at a specific historical moment by a situated group — captures a world frozen in time, revealing cultural assumptions embedded within the dataset’s taxonomy and image selection.
